Tomorrow I have my first appointment with my OBGYN. I know many offices do things differently, but when I was pregnant with one baby, I would have a phone call with a nurse to go over pregnancy related things (Don't eat sushi, don't take ibuprofen, etc...) and then an Ultrasound at 8 weeks. At about 10 weeks, you finally get an appointment with your doctor.
Since we discovered I had twins, they scheduled a second ultrasound at 10 weeks (which was three days ago). I will be finally meeting with my doctor tomorrow to talk about everything.
And I have a lot of questions! Here are the things I'll be asking my doctor:
1) Whats different with twins?
2) I have been taking one prenatal vitamin, Is that enough nutrients for both babies?
3) When do you usually induce when there are twins?
4) Let's talk about delivery. Will you let me try a vaginal delivery if the babies look like it might be successful? Or do you insist on a C-section no matter what? What sort of things would make a C-section more favorable?
5) I have been feeling tired, nauseated and hungry all the time. When can I expect those symptoms to subside?
6) Let's talk about my activity level. Because I've been so sick this first trimester, I haven't kept up in my activity. What is a safe level of activity?
The questions just keep coming... but this is where I'm starting. What questions were on the top of your list when you went to the doctor for the first time?
